b. Kevin Davy. It was one of Bob Marley’s wishes to help young musicians to achieve their goals, and at his Tuff Gong Studios a number of performers were supported, including Tyrone Taylor, Junior Tucker, Diana King, Nadine Sutherland and one of the more recent artists, Yvad. His debut single, ‘We Need Love’, surfaced through the Tuff Gong label but did not make any impression on the charts. The RAS label in Washington, USA, were suitably impressed and signed the singer for the release of Young Gifted And Dread. He has also enjoyed media exposure on American television, including video promotion on MTV and Black Entertainment Television. To promote the album he was selected to support fellow RAS artists Israel Vibration on their US tour.
