Mexican alternative pop/rock band
Zurdok was formed in 1994 after friends Jorge Saenz and David Izquierdo decided to create a new project named Movimiento Zurdok. After moving to Mexico City and winning a local contest known as La Batalla de las Bandas in 1995, the band signed up to Discos Manicomio, releasing
Zurdok's debut album, called Antena, in September of 1997, climbing on the charts for the first time with "Tropecé." In the year 2001 the five-piece rock act recorded
Hombre Sintetizador, produced by
Peter Reardon, José Antonio Farías, and Antonio Hernández, getting its single "Abre los Ojos" played by major radio stations. ~ Drago Bonacich
