1G3, aka Gauthier Matherat, is a 23 French electronic music composer and a drummer.
Gauthier started to play drums at the age of 6 in a local school in his small town in France. He completely fell in love with rhythms and also the way musicians are implicitly communicating while they're playing.
He obtained a State Diploma of Music after 6 years in a National Conservatory of Music.
Ambitious and searching for more challenge, he went to the United Kingdom in 2016 with the aim of learning more and networking.
This is when he discovered the music production.
Since this moment, he is composing, producing and mixing electronic music with multi-genre artists, and releasing his music under his artistic name: 1G3.
As a drummer, he will always put forward the rhythms in his music to highlight the voice of his singers.
He is inspired by the music of The Weeknd, Dr.Dre, Kanye West, Jay Z, Rihanna, DJ Snake, Ariane Grande, Jaden Smith, Ice Cube and many more...
