Oslos indie pop quintet Acres Wild formed when Magnus Askjer Lefsaker started writing songs and sent them guitarist Simen Følstad Nilsen. They produced the first demos in Magnus living room, centered around Magnus summery pop melodies and Simens jangly/alternative guitar work. With inspiration drawn from R.E.M, The Zombies and Real Estate.
Acres Wild is Magnus Askjer Lefsaker, Simen Følstad Nilsen, Even Ziesler Andenæs, Mads Frøystadåg Skovdahl and Espen Skretteberg. Their second EP ”The Prophecies of Skeeter Davis” contained three songs in which all three got radio plays on norwegian radio.
