New York-based fiddler
Andy McGann attracted international attention with his recording debut in November of 1965. A collaboration with button accordionist
Joe Burke and pianist Felix Dolan, A Tribute to Michael Coleman celebrated the music of the influential Sligo fiddler (1891-1945) and became one of the all-time best-selling albums of traditional Irish music.
McGann has continued to make his presence felt. In addition to releasing an impressive solo album, Irish Fiddle and Guitar, in 1992, he's recorded duo albums with
Paul Brady (Traditional Music of Ireland) and Paddy Reynolds (Fiddle Duets and It's a Hard Road to Travel). ~ Craig Harris
