Anna Shoemaker is a Brooklyn-based, Philly-born, singer/songwriter. The 23-year-old alt-pop artist became a SoundCloud sensation with her viral mashup of Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” and Chance the Rapper’s “Cocoa Butter Kisses,” which she recorded on her bedroom floor. The song now has over 850,000 streams and caught the attention of key press tastemakers and strangely enough, fashion mogul Steve Madden. Anna was then chosen as Steve Madden’s 2018 Emerging Artist of the Year and soon after, signed to his label, 5Towns Records.

Anna’s debut EP, Eastside, produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer JT Daly (K.Flay’s “Blood In The Cut”) was released in the fall of 2018. The follow up EP, due out February 2020, is also produced by JT Daly. Her sophomore effort, titled Everything Is Embarrassing, is the natural progression of Anna’s music, life and love and her view on them all.

The EP includes 6 songs, one of which was recorded after the JT Daly sessions. Anna had gone back to Brooklyn and met up with Bushwick-based producer Will Baker. From their first session came, “Someone”, the 6th song on the EP, which gives some insight in where Anna’s sound is headed.

Anna will spend the early spring 2020 playing shows on both the East and West Coast as well as a run down to Austin for SXSW as an official showcasing artist.
