"Baby You`re Surprised" is Annette Gil`s first single from her second solo album with working title "Comfortably Young". Her music is inspired by the dark corners of the early 80`s. Melodic, dramatic and melancholic with a touch of Kate Bush and David Bowie. The disco beat is never far away in her songs, because she loves to dance and so will you. She co-produce her music together with drummer and engineer Ole Tom Torjussen.
Other contributors on the song is Fredrik Eilertsen – bass, Fredrik Egner – guitars and Arne Nøst – flute. All work`s done in their own studio and record label “House of distillery records”.
Her second solo album is due for release in February 2016.
Annette Gil is an artist based in Oslo, Norway. She was front singer and songwriter in the indie band called “Seven” for 12 years. They released 5 albums and 2 EP`s and had alternative hits on the Norwegian broadcasting radio NRK P3 and also on MTV’s Alternative Nation. “Seven” performed on the biggest festivals in Norway, but also abroad on different venues in cities such as Berlin, New York, Toronto and Madrid.
Annette Gil released her first solo album entitled “Desert Disco” in May 2013. The album received great reviews and she performed at some of Norway`s biggest festivals the following summer.
