Anthony Jeselnik was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Tulane University, he moved to Los Angeles before settling in New York and becoming a regular on the Greenwich Village comedy scene. In 2009 he was named one of Comedy Central's breakout comedians, which he did a year later with the release of his debut album
Shakespeare. In 2011, he began making regular appearances on the Comedy Central Roast series, roasting Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen that year, with Rosanne Barr ending up on the business end of his roaster in 2012. In 2013, Comedy Central aired his television special
