The mysterious funky dance outfit Bass 6 is in fact a one-man project led by veteran R&B producer Frank Cornelius. Cornelius was partly responsible for Miami's bass-boom of the early '90s (producing one of the first urban bass music groups, MC A.D.E.) before launching Bass 6 in the early 21st century. Signing on with the Pandisc label, Bass 6 issued their debut album, In Control, in July of 2001 -- an album that mixes retro-funk sounds with sci-fi messages and hip-hop beats. ~ Greg Prato
