The Spanish rapper Beret is one of a very select group of Spanish hip-hop artists who have managed to bring their chosen genre to the attention of Spain's mainstream music fans.He was born Francisco Javier Álvarez Beret in 1996 and after choosing a career in music in his late teens he adopted the mononym Beret. After becoming interested in rap and reggae from a young age, Beret began to produce homemade recordings experimenting with a variety of different genres, some of which he would eventually publish on YouTube. His first solo release was 'Efímero', followed up by 'Vertigo' and although these tracks achieved no significant commercial success they did begin to establish a fan base for the artist.His best known tracks to date have been 'Diez Mil por Qués', 'Bala Perdida', 'Cóseme' and 'Me Llama' with the latter garnering over 7 million YouTube views. © ©Copyright Music Story 2020
