Rapper/vocalist
Bingx was born
Chanler Hendrickson in Seattle in 1990. He grew up enamored with both the lyrical gymnastics of hip-hop and the raw emotion of grunge, and worked both influences into his music, taking cues from artists ranging from
50 Cent to
Third Eye Blind. He dropped out of high school early to join the military, and when he completed his service he pushed forward energetically with his music. Early on he focused primarily on rapping, channeling the rapid-fire delivery of
Eminem or
Tech N9ne and even incorporating tics related to his Tourette syndrome into his rhymes. His early releases included 2012's In the L.A.B. (Life's a Battlefield) album and the 2016 single "Lift Me Up." In 2017
Bingx released his second full-length album, My E.G.O. The album saw him expanding his artistic range dramatically, including more singing as well as diverse production elements. ~ Fred Thomas
