CARBON 12 is a merciless outburst of Coldwave. It is a solo project by Steve Tushar, who has worked with Spahn Ranch and Birmingham 6, and toured with 16 Volt and Fear Factory. His horrifyingly bleak music is a dangerous, shadowy figure. Dark, droning pads catch flying dagger synth lines. Spastic rhythms flail forward, unimpeded. Guitars generate tremendous grinding noise, sometimes indiscernible from Tushar's distorted vocals, which evoke pain and despair.
