Salathaian “ChaYsuh” Hills is a New Age Recording Artist, from Baton Rouge, La. Growing up in Glen Oaks, a notorious area in North Baton Rouge, ChaYsuh, discovered passion for all things music. He recorded a series of mixtapes titled Unda-Estimated in 2006 that created a buzz, then releasing volume 2 in 2008 creating a bigger buzz, in 2009 ChaYsuh recorded his mixtape Unda-Estimated 3 and started the indie recording label, GrindStarz. For several years the label consisted of only two members, ChaYsuh and his Childhood friend, Christopher “Grind” West. The underestimated duo continued making song after song gaining support of local fans and causing a huge stir in the underground rap/hip hop community.
In August of 2015 ChaYsuh was introduced to the talented producer Enny Harlan of Paris France, through Friend David “Mf P” Pierson. Together ChaYsuh, and Mf P created the single ‘Pop It Off’ with the music produced by Enny Harlan. A month after releasing the song to iTunes Chaysuh got with local music video director Joe Mexican and began to film a unique story telling video, and in less than four months after release, ‘Pop it Off’ broke into the Nationwide College Radio Top 5 most added and has now broken into the Top 40 Charts 1/14/16 and is continuing to climb.
Today with his first full length album titled “High Definition” showcasing a lineup of hit after hit, like ‘Pop it off’ ‘Scared to Love’ ‘Girl you got it’ and more! This albulm not only shows a deeper side to ChaYsuh but a deeper side to Rap/Hip Hop that no one else is willing to show. ChaYsuh and his label companions’ are taking the world by storm. Never conforming, never changing, and always striving towards success.
