CLMD is Martin Danielle. After several hits such as “Black Eyes and Blue” and “The Stockholm Syndrome” CLMD found his greatest success with the notorious track ”Dust” in early 2016. Yet CLMD anno 2017 seems even more promising for the artist dubbed “Norway’s finest” by the legend Pete Tong.
“Dust” featured the vocals of electropop princess Astrid S, who also was awarded Newcomer of the Year award at the Norwegian Grammys the same year. With its unique synergy between organic and electronic elements, “Dust” reached #1 on the national radio charts, #1 on the Norwegian Spotify Viral chart and went double platinum in a matter of months. It also lingered in the Top 10 for weeks.

With a keen eye for vocalists of extraordinary talent, CLMD is back in 2017 with “Never Wanna Lose You”, which was released in May. The track features Roc Nation songstress and social media sensation, Justine Skye, who also currently features as a face of Puma, Forever21 and MAC Cosmetics. She is clearly a force to be reckoned with in coming year, already having caught the attention of Forbes Magazine editors and placing on their 30 under 30 list in March 2017. Also lending thrilling vocals to the song is Jesper Jenset, who blasted himself onto the international music scene in 2016 with “High”.
In late 2017, Martin Danielle’s first and long awaited studio album will finally see the light of day. The as of yet unnamed project is a complete illustration of Martins many visions and talents. Being one of the very first Norwegian DJ and producer to wipe out the defining lines between club and radio, and thus also kicking down doors and leading the way for new Norwegian talent like Alan Walker and Kygo, has proved to be a demanding as well as a rewarding role in the industry for Martin. This position is what earned Martin Danielle the position as one of four mentors in the upcoming Norwegian version of the popular talent TV show, The Voice, most likely making him the first The Voice mentor in history not to be a vocalist himself. With a solid string of hits behind him, “The Stockholm Syndrome” and the Ultra Festival anthem “Black Eyes and Blue” being most prominent amongst them, and a fan base which consists of giants like Tiësto, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Axwell and Ingrosso, SEEB and many, many more, CLMD by Martin Danielle is one of the most exciting projects present on the EDM scene this year.
