Nastasia Paccagnini - aka Crenoka is a French producer, vocalist and composer based in France. Her alter-ego Crenoka explores and experiments. From space sounds to computer sounds, she creates an ambiant bedroom pop with poem elocutions, songs, distorted sounds of the solar system and fragments of stolen reality she records with her dictaphone. At the age of ten, Nastasia reads Robert C. O’Brien’s « Z for Zachariah » and this becomes a turning point : growing up with books and graphic novels written by visionaries such as Enki Bilal, Philip K. Dick, or Baudrillard, Nastasia builds herself a fictional realm - pushed further with movies such as Ghost in the Shell, Matrix, or Paprika. She feels connected to the postmodern-cyberpunk vibe, a world where she can explore through music and writing questions such as : the human condition, technology, memory, or reality. Thus, her alter-ego Crenoka finds catharsis in telling stories of empty spaces, lost spaceships, and impossible love stories between the Human and the Machine. She envisions fragments of a possible future in a post-apocalyptical environment. Mixtape#1 was written during the winter of 2017 and released instantly. Skies is the single from Mixtape#1 : organic drum sounds coupled with digital synths and harmonious vocals, a perfect combination to be projected into an intimate ambiance where yet danger looms. (Un)cover is a three-song single including covers of the artists Elliott Smith and Troy Von Balthazar. Occurence : Midnight Songs is a two-song single released in Oct. 2019. It contains two pop-folk songs tackling the problem of intimacy, insecurity, and death in a natural background, in opposition to the Artificial. Crenoka also gives her voice and words to various artists - always for the sake of exploration. She was part of the girls band Boys in Lilies, and is today the lead singer of the French rock band Thé Vanille.
