A five-man squad from New York, Crimewave consists of Shamus, Skar Furocious, Fluid, Karachi-Raw, and Maximillian. They've been building a sturdy rep since '96, when group leader Shamus released his debut single. In '98, they dropped the Serving Life EP, followed several years later by two popular singles: "What Side You On" and "Think Big." 2002 saw the release of their first full-length Scripture Won: The Beginning of..., which sports production from some of Gotham's finest beat-makers, including the Alchemist, Beatnuts, and Buckwild (D.I.T.C.). Epitomized by dark soundscapes and rugged, street-centric lyricism, Crimewave have everything it takes to become a major force in the fiercely competitive NYC hardcore circuit.
