Josh and Wayne Crowe are a close-harmony Brother Act that have been recording Louvin-inspired Old-Time Revival Country Gospel and Country-Folk/Bluegrass songs since the late 1970s (they even recorded eight Louvin Brothers cover songs). The Crowe Brothers were at one time part of an Americana power-trio that also included renowned banjo picker, Raymond Fairchild. The singing here is built upon a guttural foundation of naturally gifted vocal tone and elastic range. The Crowe Brothers' penetrating tenor vocal notes soar over an antiquated backline of old-fangled stringed instruments (fiddle aficionado Arvil Freeman lends a hand here). Anyone in love with traditional American folk and country music (as well as Louvin Brothers fans) are sure to find a comforting familiarity in the music of the Crowe Brothers.
