Contemporary R&B singer and songwriter
Damar Jackson started on the keyboard by emulating radio hits. A few years after he started to take music seriously, the Louisiana native made a bit of a breakthrough by co-writing
K Camp's "Comfortable," a 2015 single that reached number 22 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart and crossed into the Hot 100 at number 54. In 2016, he released some of his own predominantly slow jam-oriented material, including the singles "Crazy" and "Changed," with the former appearing on the five-track Ninety3Until EP. By the time the eight-track, Empire-distributed release Unfaithful appeared in 2017,
Jackson had also appeared on songs headlined by Jae Lyrix, B. Simone, Dan Diego, and
Rubberband OG. A deluxe expanded version of Unfaithful was released in early 2018 featuring additional songs and remixes of several of the album's tracks. The following year saw
Jackson issue the full-length U2. ~ Andy Kellman
