Dirk Bogarde is a British actor. His notable film appearances include The Servant (1963), Darling (1965), The Damned (1969), Death in Venice (1971), and The Night Porter (1973).
Bogarde retired from the screen in 1978 to become a writer and produced several novels and books of memoirs. He returned to film acting in 1990. ~ William Ruhlmann
