Robert Van Liew, better known as DJ DX, is an American lyricist, song writer, re mixer, producer from Jersey City, NJ. He started as a DJ and eventually began rapping, talking about the trials of his childhood and present events that are happening in his life and around the world. His tale is not uncommon; his mother "slipped into doing drugs" while his father was in and out of prison, and he's been through his fair share of hardships.
While things are better now, this period of his life inspired his latest releases, a concept album called "The Unfortunate Child", HIP-HOP 101, "Made From Scratch" and several more single releases.
