Comprising Dille Diedricsson (vocals), Peter Nordholm (guitar), Imre Daun (drums) and Henrik Thomson (keyboards), Don Patrol formed in Sweden in 1990. The base component of their sound was immediately obvious - drawing heavily on the blues their composite hard rock style drew comparisons with artists such as Free, Bad Company and Grand Funk Railroad. In the studio the group have consistently eschewed studio polish in favour of spontaneous, uninhibited performances. The best example of this was their 1990 self-titled debut, which received widespread recognition and airplay. A more complex record, 1992’s A Wire, A Deal And The Devil was less immediate and ultimately less compelling.
