Double Nelson oscillate between being avant-electronic heroes and being the best industrial swamp music you've ever heard. Based in Northern France, they use a mixture of real instruments and curious samples to serve up wobbly, eclectic pop full of loops and vocals that sound like they could be sung by just about anything except a human being. Not necessarily a continually pleasant experience, their music steps into brutal territory, utilizing up to three bass guitars and a cacophonous din of slippery electric guitar. Recording since the late '80s, they've also put together short films and radio plays, and scored various low-budget movies.
