Duct Tape features two U.S. electro ex-pats who met in Berlin. Member
Batsauce (Britt Traynham) came from Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Berlin to join the city's left-field hip-hop scene, while Wynton Kelly Stevenson was born in New Jersey and came to Germany to take care of his ailing father, jazz musician
Rudy Stevenson. With
Stevenson on the keyboards, harmonica, and vocals, and
Batsauce handling vocals, beats, and production, their
Duct Tape project debuted in 2012 with the Knee Deep in Space EP. The space motif continued when in 2014 the duo announced they were the first artists from the planet Saturn to sign with BBE. The label released their debut album, Less We Can, that same year. ~ David Jeffries
