Emily James is a pop-influenced singer/songwriter, originally from New York, now based in Los Angeles. Emily's music shows a pop flavor that is synthesized with her love of the blues and diverse influences such as Adele, Ed Sheeran, Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac. Emily began writing songs when she was 10 and moved to Nashville when she was 16. While in Nashville, she worked with top producers, Jacquire King (James Bay, Kings of Leon) and Ian Fitchuk to record her self-titled EP "Emily James," a collection of five of her original songs. Emily is now gearing up to release her debut album which she recorded earlier this year with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Vance Joy). The album, titled "Til the Morning," was self-penned by Emily, who drew inspiration from personal experiences as well as those she saw others going through.
