Evlov is the cinematic and genre-spanning music project of Southern California electronic producer/DJ and graphic designer Robert Alexander. Employing an amalgam of sonic textures, tones, and rhythms that incorporate elements of ambient, IDM, acoustic, downbeat, new age, post-rock, and healing/mindfulness-driven electronic music, Alexander released his first Evlov effort, 21st Century Flow, in 2015.
Based out of Ventura, Alexander cites a wide array of influences, including Cinematic Orchestra, Underworld, Bonobo, Ben Harper, Tosca, and Groove Armada, among others. He released the follow-up to the Bass Star Records-issued 21st Century Flow, an EP titled Patience, Tolerance, & Love, in 2016, followed closely by the full-lengths Modern Ritual and Essence, both of which were released internationally in 2017 by OvniMoon Records. Yoga Lounge (Contemporary Flow) also appeared in 2017. During this time, Alexander founded a music mindfulness company called LifeRhythms, and began issuing meditative singles and mini-albums such as "Guided Visualization to Reclaim Your Essence," "Peaceful Rest During Cosmic Transition," and "Ground: Immersion 1.0 (Sonic Journey)."
