Genre-blurring Florida rock outfit
Fame on Fire earned a devoted following in the 2010s with their popular covers of Top 40 hits, putting a heavy spin on everything from
Adele and
Taylor Swift to
Drake and
Kanye West. After signing with Hopeless Records, the West Palm Beach-based quartet released their first full-length, 2020's Levels.
Originating in Orlando as a solo drum covers project, the idea soon expanded into a fully realized band featuring vocalist Bryan Kuznitz, guitarist Blake Saul, bassist
Paul Spirou, and drummer Alex Roman. A rock band at its core,
Fame on Fire adds touches of post-hardcore, metalcore, nu-metal, and hip-hop to the mix, while favoring catchy pop hooks. Of their dozens of covers, their takes on
Lil Uzi Vert's "XO TOUR Llif3,"
Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You,"
Adele's "Hello," and
Halsey's "Without Me" proved most successful, racking up thousands of streams through the late 2010s. In 2017, they issued their first EP, Transitions, a five-song set that showcased their own original material. They closed the decade with a prolific string of more inspired covers, including takes on
Rae Sremmurd,
Panic! At the Disco,
blink-182,
Bastille,
Lil Nas X,
the Weeknd, and many more.
In 2020, after signing with Hopeless Records, they began promotion for their official full-length debut, Levels, which included the single "Headspace" featuring
Poorstacy and "Now and Forever" with Trevor Wentworth of
