'Stalkers' is the second single of my upcoming album 'Mundane'. I wrote the song after watching Stalker by filmmaker Tarkovsky and a documentary on real stalkers on their way to Pripyat. The beat of the drums and repetitive vocals emphasize the determination of stalkers and like-minded people moving forward to find a different world. The music video made by Jochem Baelus illustrates Stalkers' post-apocalyptic journey perfectly with black and white high-contrast filmic scenes that also depict our current status quo.
Stalkers was recorded at studio Nice Recordings with musicians Simon Casier (Balthazar), Steven Van Gelder (Geike) and Tom Barbier (Ozark Henry). Produced and mixed by Staf Verbeeck at Stiff Studio and mastered by Frederik Dejonghe at Jerboa Mastering. Artwork by Guy Kokken & Herman Houbrechts (Beeldzorg).
