Franco Olivares Benitez (Born 25 January 2001), better known by his stage name fob, is a young Mexican DJ, record producer, songwriter and musician from Mexico City, Mexico. At just 19, Franco has proven to be a unique, fast-growing producer. Experimenting with different sounds, Franco seeks to create a bond with all his listeners generally appealing to nostalgia and mixed feelings. His melancholic-nostalgic style is seen in almost every piece of his work. Franco´s first single Midnight Lights was released in February 2020, characterized by it´s heart-breaking lyrics, and soft synths, he introduces us to his world, one he invites us to explore. After the introduction , fob presented us a second single, and a two-song EP. True to its style, characterized by it´s chill melody, and ambient sounds "Isolated" was inspired by the global pandemic we are currently living, and how we are isolated, the track was produced throughout the quarantine, and its goal is to show fob´s feelings about this. The EP named "Tapes" is made up of a collaboration with singer/songwriter Ellae named "Golden Days" and a second song named "Sad Boy". These are connected to each other with sounds at the beginning and at the end of each one that make us feel as if we are listening to a two-sided cassette.
