Approaching music like a group of guerilla militants, fun-da-mental have been shaking bass cabinets and raising consciousness since the early 1990s. Precursors to the rise of the Asian Underground, they create musical hybrids of aggressive guitar-driven rock with East/West dance rhythms and samples. The result is ferocious. As the political struggle for freedom is global, their unfettered sounds reflect not a "we all are one" humanism, but a dynamic intercultural struggle through harmony and dissonance. Their bombastic musical force gives their post-colonial critique an urgency offset by the use of Eastern classical music samples, creating a sense of timeless culture and generational struggle.
