Ulrik's tenor sax has a loose, wailing feel to it, but he can just as quickly tighten into a blistering Bebop run as squeal through the upper harmonic ranges of his instrument. Generally backed by exceptional players, his music ranges from excellent Post Bop a la Miles Davis or John Coltrane to softer, Fusion-like balladry.
