IAMSUUBI was born Jesse Kaddu Suubi in Kampala, Uganda. Growing up in Sweden he would spend a lot of time listening to music, which led to him quickly developing an interest in songwriting and music production. Having exposed himself to genres like Hip-hop and RnB, his own material went on to take heavy influences from artists such as J. Cole and Notorious BIG. IAMSUUBI has since crafted a unique sound that can be described as a contemporary fusion of Trap and Soul. He moved to London where he began studying Music and formed the artist collective A.S.U.N.D.R. together with frequent collaborators Ella Eliza and Casj Lee. In its short time of existence, the collective has already been critically acclaimed by the likes of feat. Magazine, Modéle Magazine and AIMEMAG and is continuously releasing music individually and collectively. IAMSUUBI released his debut EP “IF NOT NOW THEN WHEN” in 2018 and has since released a series of singles with the latest ones being “Callin U Lately” and “Demons”. His most introspective project to date ''WHO I AM'' was released on the 28th of August.
