Imox is a Guatemalan jazz quartet with an original proposal, resulting from the integration of different musical influences, including hard bop, jazz fusion, Latin American music, Flamenco and Guatemalan Traditional. The name Imox comes from the Mayan culture and refers to a Nawal or protective spirit that represents the random, the chaotic and the spontaneous, which can also be interpreted as the will of man to create. The band members: Victor Arriaza on piano, Rosse Aguilar on voice and saxophone, Luis Pedro González on electric bass, guitar and percussion, and David Batz on drums. The quartet was founded in 2004 by Víctor Arriaza.
