Ingrid Jacoby was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and she began studying piano at age four. She has won several prizes in competitions, and she has toured internationally, performing solo recitals and concerts with major orchestras such as the
London Symphony Orchestra, the
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the
Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, the
London Mozart Players, the
Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, the
Sinfonia Varsovia, and the
Russian National Orchestra. She has performed with many conductors, including
Yehudi Menuhin,
Leonard Slatkin,
Charles Mackerras,
Jacek Kaspszyk, and
Neville Marriner.
Jacoby is a Steinway Artist and a member of the Steinway Hall of Fame, as well as recipient of a Career Life Award from the National Society of Arts and Letters.
Jacoby has recorded for ICA Classics, Ondine, Dutton Laboratories, Carlton Classics, and IMP Masters.
