Isolation Berlin is probably THE German band to watch out in 2016. After two EPs, their highly anticipated debut album is released on "German indie label of the year 2014", Staatsakt, in February. Hailing from Berlin, they combine 60s beat chansons (think: the young Francoise Hardy), psychotic noise rock (think Sonic Youth, Jesus Lizard) and almost schlager-esque ballads. Lyrically, they swipe common subjects (love, excess, loss, mania, city etc.), but always manage to stay miles away from any stereotype.
