J. Roze (Pronounced “J. Rose”) is an emerging pop and contemporary R&B artist from Queens, New York. With his new yet nostalgic take on modern R&B, J. Roze is on the come up. Since releasing his catchy debut single ‘Come With Me’ in 2019, J. Roze has been in the studio honing his sound, swag and artistry — and he’s ready to share it with the world, starting with his debut EP “Moments With You” releasing this winter 2020. Originally from Jamaica, W.I. J. Roze grew up in a musical family who introduced him to different styles and genres from a young age. He credits his father, a musician, for helping him fall in love with music — although the singer-songwriter himself was a shy performer until his teenager years. J. Roze first began recording music in high school, and in 2009 put out music under his first name which quickly went viral on Twitter’s music site, hitting over 10,000 streams before it was taken down to production issues. Reflecting on those first exciting steps into the music industry, J. Roze says: “After that happened, I decided to change my artist name to ‘J. Roze’. I wanted to honor my middle name and, as a big fan of 2Pac, honor his song I felt the most connected with, ‘The Rose That Grew From Concrete’. I’ve been working on my craft and writing new music ever since.” Keep an eye out for his next project releasing this winter. Follow J. Roze for updates.
