When DJ veterans Chris Stallion and Patski Love teamed up with the Norwegian Grammy-winning producer Alexander Austheim (RykkinnFella), the results were far too good to ignore. The trio took on the name JCY and a record deal quickly followed.
Patrick Hauge started making mixtapes while still in elementary school and got his first record deal right after high school. With an alias, and two other partners – he dominated the Scandinavian hit-lists as the multi platina music group Multicyde. Patrick has always loved working with music and as the saying goes… “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life”.
The Norwegian/British Chris Welsh started DJ’ing in his bedroom and promised his mother that he would stop wearing sneakers all the time and get a “real job” within the age of 25. But by that time, club music had become such a huge part of his life that there was no turning back. London was replaced by Oslo, where he was rapping in the Norwegian Grammy-nominated group Oslo Fluid and had his own radio program in addition to his own record company. It is worth mentioning that he now has his own sneaker collection – and yes, he uses them all the time.
Alexander Austheim has remixed, written and produced both party bangers and beautiful pop-songs. He has worked with artists like Isac Elliot, Karpe Diem, Bearson, Fatin and Suite 16. Alexander got the attention he deserved when he was handpicked to participate in Stargate’s masterclass of 2011. Despite his own success, Alexander gladly lets others shine in the spotlight while he works on.
Since Chris Stallion and Patski Love started the award-winning club concept Juicy in 2004, they have filled dance floors all over the world with their unique mix of music. Even artists like Major Lazer, Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris, Lil Jon, Steve Aoki and DJ Mustard have guested their shows. With the musicality in order, the natural next step was to remix songs. First for Madcon, and then they started to produce their own songs. They needed the right partner to make sure everything would fall into place - and RykkinnFella came to the rescue. Stallion and Love brought their enthusiasm and energy into the studio and RykkinnFella made sure the results were as good as possible. Luckily, the chemistry between the three is simply to touch and feel. Not in an exuberant bromance way, but clearly with the same sense of humor, love for music and fancy footwear.
