McFadden is a respected Nashville Rock session player who has recorded with everyone from Sixpence None the Richer to the Mavericks. His own ultra groovy Pop Rock will be enjoyed by those who remember the best of '70s FM radio, but it also shows that he needs to choose one vocal style; McFadden veers from Tom Petty to early Bowie to a unique cross section of Dylan and Lennon. He may be may having an identity crisis, but McFadden has recorded a batch of strong tunes -- some of which are up to the very high standards set by his heroes. The production, of course, is impeccable.
