Johnny Lee Middleton was born in 1963. He began playing bass in his high school jazz band. Still in high school, he formed a band called Mariah. This group did not go anywhere, and he eventually moved on to the band Lefty. His first big claim to fame, though, was when he joined Savatage. ~ Gary Hill
