authentic rising rappers in South African Rap today. The Bougie Pantsula is currently based in Johannesburg,
where he makes his mark with his unique and refreshing sound. Dubbing his sound as ‘Afro-Hop’, the rapper is
influenced by lush, ambient instrumentation with an Afrocentric twist.
