Singer-songwriter KAKI is based in Nashville but grew up in Columbus, Ohio, where the local, independent songwriter music scene is on the rise. From an early age she looked up to JoJo, Christina Aguilera and Miley Cyrus. Rather than deep love or tragic heartbreak, KAKI is inspired by the in-between moments — the confusion, uncertainty and initial attraction. Today her influences also include Halsey, Julia Michaels and Alessia Cara.
