Despite his early promise as a singer,
Ken Cook never fully emerged from the shadow of his mentor
Roy Orbison. Signed to Sun Records in 1958, he left behind a handful of songs that have delighted archival listeners for decades, including a version of
Orbison's "Don't Be Runnin' Wild (Problem Child)" and a duet with
Orbison of "I Was a Fool." His other singles included "Crazy Baby" and "Thinkin' Tonight of My Blue Eyes." ~ Bruce Eder
