A Moroccan Amazigh singer, composer and songwriter. One of the well known artists of the 2nd and 3rd generation of Amazigh music and Rwayss art. Akhtab began his artistic career in 1970; released his first album in 1979 ; and became a celebrity by 1983. Akhtab spent his childhood playing music instruments and write Amazigh poems. Early days, He joined Saïd Achtouk’s band. They performed memorable events in Jamea-Lefna - Marrakech in late 80s. Later, Akhtab moved to Casablanca and joined to Raiss Haj Mohamed Dimssiri’s band until 1982. He became a professional performer and skilled instruments player using Ribab and Loutar. The music style of Raiss Lahsen Akhtab characterized by the diversity of subjects that deals with Tindamin, romance, biography and religion poems which enriched Amazigh library with these legendary works.
