Zambia-born, UK-based artist Joshua Mbewe, a.k.a. Laxcity, makes imaginative electronic music that draws on powerful chord progressions, textured ambience, vocal and other foley elements, to create nuanced, immersive and intricate soundscapes with strong emotional resonance.
Laxcity's debut album, Catharsis, is a project which exhibits his striking command over the realm of structure-less, boundary-pushing electronica for which he's become known.
