Raised in South Central Los Angeles, rapper
Lovele$$ took his time waiting for the right circumstances to come to him. After gaining a reputation for his strong styles in his early independent days, the young rapper was offered a deal in 2011 with
Rick Ross' Maybach Music label. Though this would be a dream for almost any unsigned rapper,
Lovele$$ ultimately declined the deal, feeling it just wasn't right for him. It wouldn't be until late 2017 that he eventually signed on with Atlantic Records, dropping the slow-moving single "Sparkle" featuring
Young Dolph to commemorate the signing. He returned before the year was out with the follow-up single "Pumping," which featured a guest spot from
O.T. Genasis. In March of 2018
Lovele$$ released his third single, "No Regrets," this time boasting a feature from mumble rap icon
Lil Yachty. ~ Fred Thomas
