Lupine Howl

Lupine Howl

* En anglais uniquement

After Spiritualized's Jason Pierce fired guitarist Mike Mooney, bassist Sean Cook, and drummer Damon Reece in early 1999, the trio formed Lupine Howl, a mix of psych, soul, and Krautrock, just a few months later. The trio worked with Massive Attack before releasing their 2000 debut single Vaporizer, which featured contributions from Portishead's John Baggart and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci's Euros Childs, on their own Vinyl Hiss imprint. The Bronzage single followed and Lupine Howl released their third single, 125, in early 2001. At that time, all three singles were collected as the 125 EP and released by Beggars Banquet in the U.S., just a few months before the release of Lupine Howl's full-length debut. The next fall, the band issued the lushly dramatic The Bar at the End of the World. ~ Heather Phares
