Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois Mani Jurdan (Born Imani Jurdan Hardy)
is one hell of a Hip-hop artist. Mixing old school disciplines such as
lyricism, substance and, boom bap with new school sounds. he would bottle
all the plight of growing up in a corrupted city such as Chicago into this
unique concoction. From the trigger happy south side to the fast money west
side he would channel these experiences in rhyme form.
Before sharing the stages with the likes of Grammy award winning artist
GLC, and being mentored by Rhymefest, he would find his self performing in
the underground open mic scene that is home to artist like Chance The
Rapper. Making a name for his self with his complex street style of
Emceeing he eventually joined the notorious underground collective HUEY
gang.
Mani Jurdan dropped his debut project "Ntro 2 Da Ntro", an embodiment of
his current level of artistry. He shares an emotional response to a lot
happening within the city. He discussed the loss of his brother and feud
with the system which he felt inadequately serves his people. The project
featured some of the hottest local acts such as Stark Of HUEY, PHENOM,
Windy Indie, and many more.
