A native of the San Francisco Bay Area,
Maxine Marcus is a singer and songwriter of contemplative, atmospheric pop with restrained but persistent dance allure. Born in 2000 to musician parents, she grew up around performing, learned guitar and piano, and recorded her first self-penned song at age 13. That song, "Bitter to Breathe," appeared on her 2015 debut EP, the Dan Shea-produced On the Edge. ~ Marcy Donelson
