Born 29th May, Mehdiy is a Singer/Songwriter from Morocco, started singing at a young age, but only began sharing his passion for music with the world in 2016 on his Instagram account, SoundCloud and Youtube by doing covers of his favorite songs.
‘’Music was and is a shelter for me, I remember when I was in middle school, Christina Aguilera songs were my outlet, they helped so much in building my strong character and attitude, as well as Beyoncé, which is a huge inspiration for me in every aspect of life.’’
Mehdiy’s first time on stage was a karaoke night at a mall, but first time in front of cameras was in 2019 when he was part of the ‘’Orange talent’’ Singing competition that aired on 2M (Local Moroccan channel).
‘’It was a great experience, I got to learn what happens in the behind the scenes, and the work the goes into everything, and met a lot of talented people as well and we shared experiences, so I really enjoyed my time there, even tho I only lasted til the quarter-final.’’
Mehdiy started doing original songs, and released many collaborations such as ‘’Hope’’ , ‘’Hear me” , ‘’Let Me Go’’ and ‘’Valentine’’ . He then went into doing Solo stuff and released ‘’With You’’ .
