Jhun Alexander Ferrer, better known by his stage name Newkid, is a Swedish-Filipino rapper.Newkid was born in Uddevalla, Sweden in 1990. He got his start as a rapper in 2011 when he launched his debut album, the eponymous record 'Alexander JR Ferrer', and his debut single 'Jag gråter bara i regnet'. In 2018 Newkid returned with the album 'SS/AW18', released through Sony Music's Swedish arm. 2019 saw Newkid go on an extensive tour, performing 40 different dates including his first headline show at the Vasateatern in Stockholm in the lead-up to the 2020 launch of a third album.Beyond his solo work, Newkid has recorded with MACK BEATS, Petter and Yaiya.
