Nobro

Canadian garage punk band

* En anglais uniquement

The raucous garage punk of Montreal's NOBRO first made its impact with the release of their debut single, 2018's "The Kids Are Back." With their mix of MC5 garage and Suzi Quatro-esque rock, the quartet also made a name for themselves with their blistering live performances.
Originally starting as a power trio made up of singer/guitarist Marianna Flo, singer/bass player Kathryn McCaughey, and drummer Sarah Dion, NOBRO quickly made a name for themselves with their tight but raucous live sets, while the release of their 2018 single quickly cemented their garage rock credentials. Tour dates followed with the likes of PUP and FIDLAR and the group delivered their second single a year later in 2019 with a cover of Fu Manchu's "Mongoose." Lineup changes followed with Karolanne Carbonneau taking over from Flo, and Lisandre Bourdages bringing keys and extra percussion to the mix. The quartet delivered their third single "Lala" before signing to Dine Alone in Canada and the U.S. and Big Scary Monsters in the U.K. for the release of their debut EP, whose first fruit arrived with the infectious, pop-edged garage punk of "Marianna" at the beginning of 2020, while the band headed out on tour with the likes of Alexisonfire and the Distillers. ~ Rich Wilson
